Israel recap

What I saw and experienced on a trip to Israel.

Ever wanted to visit Israel and walk where Jesus walked or see the Bible come to life?

I had an opportunity to take a 10-day trip to Israel with my oldest daughter, Emily, in October 2017. It was an amazing experience. One I will never forget and I think impacted my spiritual life and thinking on many things.

In my podcast episode this week, I share a bit of what I saw and experienced on our trip. I hope you enjoy it!

We traveled with Pilgrim Tours (on the recommendation of a friend) and were very pleased. They arranged everything: hotels, transportation, food, admissions, etc. I cannot say enough good things about Pilgrim tours! BTW, my daughter Emily needs a gluten-free diet and she loved eating in Israel. The hotels accommodated her diet (there was a ton for her to eat!) and we found several restaurants who understand the GF diet. One restaurant near the Western Wall in Jerusalem had GF pita bread!

Our tour group leader was a Messianic Jewish man from Israel, Ellie, who explained the Biblical significance of the places we visited. We had a large group of 45 people from around the world, but mostly Americans. After spending 10 days together we became like a family, looking out for each other and enjoying time together on our bus and at meals.

If you get the change to visit Israel-go! It is amazing land, full of history and spiritual significance.

And we felt perfectly safe the entire time we were there! Israel loves Americans and we felt welcomed and safe.

I’ll get back to my regular podcast topics-helping homeschool group leaders- in January with a series in money management tips.  Until then I hope you enjoy hearing a bit about the amazing country of Israel!
